Maggie has spent nearly a decade working to ensure that all Arizonans have equitable access to resources. She started her career working for Arizona Congressional delegates Senator Sinema and Representative O’Halleran in Washington D.C. In the Senate, she helped advance tribal affairs, education, immigration, and telecommunications legislative initiatives. In the House of Representatives, she managed a legislative portfolio that focused on education, food security, housing, transportation, and violence against women.
Most recently, Maggie worked on Governor Hobbs’s policy team to solve challenges faced by local governments and to ensure that all Arizona families, particularly those in rural and under-resourced communities, have access to affordable and reliable internet. She worked across policy, communications, legislative, operations, and legal teams to collaborate on projects and she oversaw the implementation of over $1 billion in state and federal grant funding. She also worked collaboratively to coordinate state heat relief efforts in the Phoenix area, worked to increase oversight of the state’s fraudulent sober living home scheme, which particularly victimized members of tribal communities in Arizona, and hosted an Internet for All Summit which brought together over 200 stakeholders across the state to collaborate on broadband and digital equity decisions in Arizona.
Maggie was born and raised in Phoenix, AZ and graduated from the University of Arizona.
